Scope
Supply of approximately 100,000 shear studs for steel-concrete composite floors.
Background
The Lidcombe Warehouse project forms part of Sydney’s ongoing industrial infrastructure expansion. As with many modern warehouse designs, a steel frame with composite slabs was used to maximise span efficiency and load capacity. This design required tens of thousands of shear studs to secure the concrete slab to the steel structure.
Challenge
Tight deadlines and large quantities demanded a supplier who could maintain consistent quality and reliable logistics within the Sydney metro area. Precision in stud sizing and certification was essential to meet engineering standards and structural performance requirements.
Antec’s Solution
Antec supplied 100,000 headed shear connectors manufactured for high-load applications. Products were delivered in scheduled batches aligned to steel erection phases. Each batch was fully traceable and supported by Antec’s technical documentation and welding guidelines.
